David Kerr as Colonel Brandon

David first discovered a love of acting in high school, first playing a guard with an arrow through him. His first turn in community theatre was playing the man who shot JFK, swiftly followed by roles in Agatha Christie’s ‘The Mousetrap’, George Bernard Shaw’s ‘Arms and the Man’, and an award winning portrayal of an insomniac PTSD-afflicted murderer in Michael Pertwee’s ‘Night Was Our Friend.’

David has been acting with 24 Carrot Productions since 2017, beginning with a rather memorable portrayal of St Francis of Assisi, and slipping into the odd Regency role, despite never having read a page of Jane Austen. A recent show close to his heart was Darby Turnbull’s ‘Dad Jeans’, as it’s probably the most real and raw performance he’s given to date. David is also an Anglican minister and a visual artist, the latter of which he only discovered in 2020, but considers it a vital part of being the former.
